About Us

ABOUT US
The Church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is a Roman Catholic parish located in Barangay Sumagonsong, Mulanay, Quezon, and is part of the Diocese of Gumaca under the Vicariate of St. Luke. Established in 2006, the parish was founded to serve the spiritual needs of the Catholic faithful in the community and continues to be a center of worship, evangelization, and Christian service.
Dedicated to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, the parish entrusts its mission to the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who continually guides believers toward a deeper relationship with her Son, Jesus Christ. Through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the administration of the sacraments, Marian devotion, and various parish ministries, the Church seeks to nurture the faith of every member of the community.
Our parish is more than a place of worship—it is a spiritual home where people of all ages can encounter God’s love, strengthen their faith, and find support in times of joy and hardship. We strive to foster a welcoming and Christ-centered environment that encourages active participation, mutual respect, and service to others.
As a community of disciples, we are committed to proclaiming the Gospel, promoting Christian values, and helping build a society grounded in compassion, justice, and peace. Inspired by the example of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, we continue our journey of faith together, trusting in God’s grace and sharing His love with all.

“Under Our Mother’s Care, We Walk in Faith.”
HistoRy

From its humble beginnings, the parish has grown into a community united in faith, worship, and service.

The parish was established to serve the growing spiritual needs of the faithful in Sumagonsong and nearby communities. From the beginning, it became a place where people could gather for prayer, celebrate the sacraments, and strengthen their relationship with God through the guidance of the Church.

In its early years, the parish began building its identity as a welcoming place of worship and devotion. With the support of the local faithful, it slowly developed into a meaningful center for Mass celebrations, parish gatherings, and other spiritual activities that helped unite the community.

As time passed, more families became involved in the life of the parish through ministries, devotions, and church events. The parish continued to grow not only in number but also in faith, becoming a place where people could find encouragement, fellowship, and a shared sense of mission.

Today, the parish continues its mission of bringing people closer to Christ through the guidance and intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It remains a living community of faith, prayer, and service, committed to supporting the spiritual journey of every parishioner.
